Tenaris
Tenaris offers advanced product technology and integrated supply chain management services on a global scale to customers such as the world's major oil and gas companies, as well as engineering and industrial companies.
Tenaris's operations span the globe. The company's industrial system integrates steelmaking, pipe rolling and forming, heat treatment, threading and finishing across 15 countries. It is complemented by a global network of R&D laboratories and product testing facilities on four continents and service and distribution centers in over 25 countries. Tenaris's annual production capacity of seamless pipes is 3.3 million tons and is adding 0.5 million tons from its new rolling mill in Mexico. The company also has annual capacity of 2.7 million tons of welded pipes, and employs 25,500 people worldwide.
Tenaris is the world leader in premium connections and is at the forefront in the development of the tubular technologies required not only to operate in the most demanding oil and gas fields, but also in high performance mechanical and structural applications. Tenaris is a public company, incorporated in Luxembourg, with its shares listed in Milan, Buenos Aires and Mexico and its American Depositary Securities listed on the New York Stock Exchange; it adheres to international standards of corporate governance, financial transparency and information disclosure.
Milestones

1954
Tamsa starts operations in Mexico and Siderca in Argentina. Both plants are constructed by Techint.

1986
Siderca expands its seamless capacity and takes over Siat, an Argentine welded pipe manufacturer established in 1948.

1993
Siderca acquires a controlling interest in Tamsa and forms a strategic alliance.

1996
Siderca acquires a controlling interest in Dalmine, Italy, following its privatization. With Tamsa, this strategic alliance becomes DST. Dalmine had begun operations in 1909. Agostino Rocca, before founding the Techint Group, was Managing Director.

1998
Tamsa establishes Tavsa with Corporación Venezolana de Guayana to take over Sidor's seamless steel tube mill. One year later, Siderca will acquire control of Confab, in Brazil.

2000
In Canada, Siderca leases Algoma Steel's seamless steel tube plant and begins operating AlgomaTubes.

2001
The Tenaris brand name is introduced, replacing DST. Siderca is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

2002
Tenaris S.A., constituted in Luxembourg, becomes the holding company following an exchange offer for the shares of Siderca, Tamsa and Dalmine and is simultaneously listed on the New York, Milan, Buenos Aires, and Mexican stock exchanges.

2004
Tenaris acquires control of Silcotub, a Romanian manufacturer of seamless steel pipes.

2006
Tenaris expands its presence in USA, Canada and Colombia through Maverick Tube Corp.

2007
With Hydril, Tenaris expands its offer of products and services for the oil and gas industry.

2008
Tenaris sets up a new threading facility in Qingdao, China.

2009
Tenaris builds up its presence in the Far East through the integration of SPIJ, an Indonesian OCTG processing operation. Venezuela nationalizes TAVSA and steel shop Matesi.

Tenaris completes its new premium threading facility in Saudi Arabia.

Tenaris opens new rolling mill in Veracruz, Mexico.
